Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for all admission inquiries, providing information and guidance to residents, families, hospitals, and referral sources.
- Coordinate and facilitate the admissions process from initial inquiry to move-in.
- Conduct facility tours and present services in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Verify insurance benefits, obtain necessary authorizations, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to evaluate admissions.
- Maintain all admissions documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, including hospitals, case managers, and community organizations.
- Track admissions metrics and prepare reports as needed.
- Participate in marketing and community outreach activities when appropriate.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare admissions, social services, case management, or related role strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance processes, Medicare/Medicaid, and managed care plans beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and multitasking capability.
