Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Underwriting Operations Specialist to join a team in a full-time, exempt capacity. This is a 3-day hybrid position. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating training, developing resources, and driving continuous improvement within the underwriting department.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually

- Collaborate with the training manager to facilitate new-hire onboarding and ongoing department training sessions, covering topics such as underwriting systems, workers' compensation, property, liability, and commercial auto coverage.
- Develop and maintain online underwriting resources, policies, manuals, training materials, and procedures to ensure consistent application across the department.
- Provide support to other departments by sharing underwriting knowledge and expertise to help achieve organizational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing changes to workflows, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Identify problems, research solutions, and collaborate on the design and implementation of effective resolutions.
- Develop and maintain tools and resources to support underwriting operations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
- Preferred insurance industry certifications such as CPCU, ARM, or Associate in Premium Audit.
- Strong knowledge of NCCI, PAAS, and underwriting business processes.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
- Excellent interpersonal, project management, and leadership skills.
- Strong decision-making, critical-thinking, and communication abilities.
