Responsibilities
- Manage and service a portfolio of middle and large commercial lines accounts, providing day-to-day account management and proactive client engagement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing policy updates, and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with Account Executives, underwriters, and other team members to ensure seamless delivery of quality service to clients, continuously improving processes to exceed client expectations.
- Conduct policy reviews to ensure competitiveness, compliance, and alignment with client needs; identify and propose coverage enhancements or modifications when applicable.
- Negotiate renewals on behalf of clients, ensuring the most competitive pricing and terms while aligning with their risk management objectives.
- Maintain client records, documentation, and communication logs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Assist in new business development by identifying growth opportunities within the portfolio, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, insurance products, and regulatory changes to provide expert guidance and insights to clients.
- Support mentoring and development of junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, with a focus on account management for mid-to-large-sized clients.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proven track record of client servicing and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing client records and documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and problem-solving.
- Proficient in insurance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Licensing/Certifications:
- Valid Property and Casualty Insurance License is required.
- Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or CRM are a plus.
