As a Commercial Lines Insurance Producer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Meeting activity and sales goals as established with management and providing regular updates on progress.
- Identifying new leads and gathering necessary information for future client appointments.
- Developing, presenting, and selling new business proposals to prospective clients.
- Ensuring compliance with account quality and size standards set by the agency.
- Establishing payment arrangements for customers.
- Conducting periodic service and goodwill calls to existing accounts and coordinating customer service requests.
- Providing professional advice and guidance to improve clients' risk management programs.
- Actively pursuing the sale of additional coverage and policies to existing customers.
- Collaborating with other producers to share leads and participate in joint sales calls.
- Attending and actively participating in regular sales meetings.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers and company representatives.
- Assisting the marketing team in securing and negotiating quotations and coverage placements.
- Achieving educational and professional development goals as set by agency management.
- Maintaining a professional demeanor and promoting a positive public image for the agency.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in business or finance (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance agency sales (preferred).
- Professional designations (highly desirable).
- Property, Casualty, Life & Health licenses (a significant plus).
- Proven track record of successful sales and a commitment to high standards of customer service.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance products.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex insurance information clearly.
- Proactive approach to generating new business and retaining existing clients.
- Adequate knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations.
- Ability to travel locally to meet with clients and prospects.
