Duties
- Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions.
- Support patients with traumatic brain injury.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, basic life support during emergencies or routine assessments in inpatient/ home care setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain medical documentation accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and infection control protocols
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals health needs in settings like assisted living or nursing homes
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care procedures including vital signs
- Experience in long term care highly valued
- Proficient in infection control practices
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with a compassionate approach to working with children and adults across diverse community settings
