Seasonal Lemaire Prep Cook & Line Sook

Lemaire, the acclaimed restaurant at The Jefferson Hotel, is seeking skilled and motivated Seasonal Prep Cooks and Line Cooks to join our culinary team. These opportunities are ideal for hardworking, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in food quality, consistency, and teamwork in an elevated dining environment.

Key Requirements

• Availability: Prep Cook must be available to work a flexible daytime schedule; Line Cook must be available to work a flexible evening schedule. Both roles require availability on weekends and holidays.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of prep cook, line cook, or professional kitchen experience required.
• Skills: Strong knife skills, safe equipment handling, and the ability to follow recipes and chef instructions.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Professionalism: Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Seasonal AM Prep Cook

• Wash, peel, chop, measure, and portion ingredients according to recipes and chef direction.
• Prepare ingredients and complete mise en place for daily service and special events.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe prep station.
• Label, store, and rotate food items according to established standards.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and support chefs and cooks as needed.

Seasonal PM Line Cook

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Complete mise en place and maintain an organized, properly stocked station.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely execution of dishes during evening service.
• Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and cooking times.
• Communicate with chefs and kitchen team members to maintain smooth service.

Shared Kitchen Responsibilities

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment, knives, and utensils.
• Support the culinary team and adapt to changing service needs.
