Global Payroll Manager (Temp-to-Perm)

Pay Rate: $60-67 per hour
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking an experienced Global Payroll Manager to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping and evolving global payroll operations for a large, dynamic organization with over 7,000 employees worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage payroll operations with a team of 11 global payroll professionals, including direct oversight of two Assistant Managers (US and Krakow).
- Evaluate current payroll processes, identify inefficiencies, and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Operate with a forward-thinking, strategic mindset to design scalable payroll solutions.
- Roll up your sleeves to support hands-on payroll processing as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Benefits, Compensation, and other internal departments to ensure seamless payroll delivery.
- Provide guidance and planning in the event of organizational growth (e.g., acquisition of a 1,000-person company).
- Define and track payroll metrics and measurements that drive performance and compliance.
- Travel to Poland post-permanent conversion to meet the international team and align on global processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 10 years of in-house payroll experience, including multi-state and international payroll.
- 5 years in a management or leadership role within payroll operations.
- Proven track record of process evaluation and improvement within payroll functions.
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle Fusion is highly preferred.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on capacity while also setting long-term strategy.
- Experience in scaling payroll operations during periods of growth.
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field is required.
