Main Responsibilities:
- Develop Strategic Plan: Develop and execute the strategic plan, communicating a clear and compelling vision for the organization's future growth and success.
- Provide Day-to-Day Leadership: Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, management, and motivation for the staff.
- Build a High-Performing Team: Build and lead a high-performing leadership team, supporting individuals with opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
- Collaborate with Senior Management: Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and talent aimed at serving customers and executing organizational objectives.
Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the insurance industry, with a broader commercial lines background; workers' compensation focus (preferred).
- Profit and Loss Accountability: Profit and loss accountability and/or financial accountability (preferred).
- Industry Knowledge: Proficient in small, middle, and large market insurance.
- Background in Underwriting, Claims, or Finance: Strong background in underwriting (preferred), claims, or finance.
- Regulatory Experience: Experience working with regulators and legislators (preferred).
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or professional designation (preferred).
