Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Title Officer to join our team remotely while supporting operations in Flagstaff, AZ. In this role, you will play a critical part in reviewing, analyzing, and processing title documents to ensure seamless property transactions. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of title underwriting and escrow processes, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review title orders, commitments, and policies to identify and resolve title issues or discrepancies.
- Perform title searches and examinations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Communicate with escrow officers, clients, real estate agents, and lenders to address questions and provide solutions to title-related concerns.
- Prepare and issue title commitments and title insurance policies in a timely manner.
- Research and resolve title defects, such as liens, judgments, and encumbrances, to clear titles for closing.
- Maintain accurate records of title documents and correspondence in the company’s systems.
- Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to support a high volume of transactions and meet client expectations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field is a plus).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in title examination, underwriting, or a related role within the Escrow & Title industry.
- Experience with Title work on sectional communities and Lot & Block title work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of real estate transactions, title insurance, and escrow procedures.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and title software systems (e.g., SoftPro, or similar). Must have ResWare experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze complex title documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet strict deadlines in a high-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Arizona-specific real estate laws and regulations is a plus.
- Must have experience with ResWare and/or DataTrace.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
