What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting position at The Intersect Group?
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical accounting research and prepare formal documentation for complex transactions, including ASC 606, software capitalization, leases, M&A, impairments, restructurings, derivatives, and other US GAAP matters
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for revenue recognition, including contract reviews and policy enforcement
- Review customer, vendor, and partner contracts to determine and document appropriate accounting treatment
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, FP&A, Product/R&D, HR, and other teams to ensure compliant transaction structuring
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by resolving technical accounting issues
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP
- Act as the primary liaison to external auditors and manage audit-related accounting matter
- Monitor new accounting standards and assess their impact on the business
- Train accounting and non-accounting teams on technical accounting topics and policy change
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts in partnership with FP&A
Qualifications:
- Active CPA
- Public accounting experience
- Expertise in US GAAP, including ASC 606
Salary : $175,000 - $200,000
