What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEC Reporting Manager position at The Intersect Group?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K filings, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
- Research and document technical accounting positions on complex transactions.
- Monitor and implement new accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal control documentation (SOX).
- Liaise with external auditors on SEC reporting and technical accounting matters.
- Determine and report Non-GAAP financial measures.
- Identify and automate manual reporting processes (Workiva, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- Collaborate cross-functionally on accounting projects and process improvements.
- Supervise or mentor team members in reporting and accounting areas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s/MBA preferred.
- CPA certification strongly preferred.
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.
- Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems (Workiva, Oracle, SAP, Hyperion)
Salary : $90,000 - $140,000
