Regional Controller
Location: Duluth, GA (Hybrid Schedule)
Compensation: $125-$150K Bonus

Role Summary
The Regional Controller plays a key leadership role within the accounting organization, overseeing financial reporting, close processes, and regional accounting operations. This position partners closely with operations and corporate leadership to ensure accurate financial results while supporting a growing, fast paced business.
In this role, you will lead close activities, manage and develop accounting staff, and help drive process improvements across the organization. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to mergers and acquisitions activity while strengthening internal controls and financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support monthly and annual close processes for assigned regions
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
• Analyze profit and loss and balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and review recurring, adjusting, and complex journal entries with proper documentation
• Oversee revenue recognition for specific regions, customers, or business lines
• Review and approve monthly allocations related to fuel, depreciation, and overhead
• Supervise, mentor, and develop senior and staff level accountants
• Collaborate with operations, contracts, human resources, and other departments on financial matters
• Drive process improvement initiatives and support system enhancement projects
• Assist with internal controls, accounting policies, and annual audit coordination
• Lead special accounting projects as assigned
Key Requirements
• Six or more years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a growing or mid sized organization
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited traditional institution
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing junior accounting team members
• Strong understanding of general ledger ownership, revenue recognition, and close processes
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to connect financial information to business operations
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a private equity backed environment
• CPA designation
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP platforms
• Background in process improvement or system implementation initiatives
