Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities and equipment to ensure smooth operations across manufacturing and residential environments. The Maintenance Person will play a critical role in supporting facility operations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and facilities using schematics, electrical experience, and mechanical knowledge.
- Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Conduct welding repairs, residential painting, and other facility maintenance tasks as needed.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and CMMS software to diagnose problems and document maintenance activities.
- Supervise or assist with projects involving manufacturing equipment or building systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Lead or support team efforts in supervising maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of repairs.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices in facilities maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal teams or external clients regarding maintenance needs.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, schematics, and facilities maintenance procedures.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting industrial automation systems.
- Welding skills for metal repairs and fabrication tasks.
- Electrical experience including the use of tools like ohmmeters for diagnostics.
- Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management and documentation.
- Residential painting skills are a plus for facility aesthetic improvements.
- Supervising experience demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing maintenance teams or projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, manuals, and diagrams effectively.
