About the Role
The Housing Authority of Fulton County (HAFC) is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Administrative Assistant (Full-time, Temporary) to support our Executive team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and provides excellent service to both internal teams and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, and maintaining spreadsheets
- Manage office supplies inventory and coordinate equipment maintenance/repairs
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, deliveries, and faxes
- Assist with scheduling, calendar management, and meeting coordination
- Draft internal communications, reports, and correspondence
- Prepare meeting agendas, materials, and take minutes
- Answer and route incoming calls professionally; monitor general email inquiries
- Provide front desk/reception coverage as needed
- Assist with onboarding new employees and coordinating staff training/certifications
- Support event coordination, travel arrangements, and special projects
- Handle resident/vendor concerns professionally and maintain confidentiality
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or secretarial experience, including switchboard experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional, friendly demeanor with a strong customer service mindset
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy office environment
- Experience working with the public, including handling high-stress or difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Additional Requirements
- Valid State of Georgia driver’s license
- Ability to meet bonding and insurance requirements
