About the Role

This warm Chappaqua family is welcoming a full-time, live-out nanny to care for their 5-month-old daughter. One parent works from home and will be nearby but generally unavailable during working hours, so the right nanny is someone who leads confidently and independently while honoring the family's thoughtful, baby-led approach — including paced bottle feeding, attentive safe-sleep practices, and genuine floor-level engagement over screens.

The ideal candidate brings recent, hands-on infant experience and a calm, unhurried presence. You read a baby's cues before fussing starts, handle her with steady, careful confidence, and find satisfaction in the small rhythms of a well-tended day. French proficiency is a lovely bonus, and a fragrance-free, phone-down mindset is essential. Parents will be home and hands-on during an initial onboarding period to ensure a seamless transition into a comfortable daily routine!

What You Will Do

• Provide primary, baby-first care for a 5-month-old infant, following parents' guidelines for feeding, sleeping, and development.
• Practice cue-based, paced bottle feeding (allowing breaks without forcing fixed ounce targets).
• Engage in active, floor-level play, reading, and age-appropriate developmental activities with a zero-screen approach.
• Follow current safe sleep practices and maintain meticulous diaper-change hygiene.
• Manage light household tasks during nap times, such as baby laundry, dinner prep, and light tidying.
• Drive the child safely using the provided family vehicle as needed.
• Maintain a fragrance-free (no perfumes or heavy scents) and phone-down environment around the baby.
• Participate in short, warm handoffs with parents at the start and end of each day.
• Travel with the family occasionally as needed.

Schedule and Compensation

• Position: Full-time, live-out role.
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm (45 hours/week).
• Pay Rate: $30–$35/hr.
• Vehicle: Family car provided for duty-related driving.
• Start Date: ASAP.
• Placement: Long-term placement strongly preferred.

Requirements

• Recent, hands-on professional experience with infants under one year old.
• Demonstrable knowledge of infant safety, proper physical support, and current safe-sleep standards.
• Valid driver's license and comfortable driving using a family-provided vehicle.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Current CPR & First Aid certification (Infant/Child).
• Fluent in English (French fluency is a strong plus!).
• Willingness to maintain a fragrance-free / low-scent workplace.
• Comfortable with dogs in the home.
• Open to occasional family travel.
• Comfortable commuting to Chappaqua, NY daily.
