You’ll be instrumental in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering quick, accurate service that keeps our customers coming back. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and specialty drinks with precision.
- Operate a POS system (Square) to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash register operations by processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and dining spaces to meet food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or packaging chocolates when needed while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt beverage and food service while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS system, Square, for processing sales is desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
