What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Food Prep/Barista position at Taichi Bubble Tea?
We are currently hiring for all shifts, but applicants typically must be available to work a mix of morning and afternoon shifts. These are 10:30-4:00PM and 4:00-9:00/9:30. This means students MUST work some weekday mornings.
Taichi Bubble Tea is looking for dependable and long-term cashiers, baristas, or poke bowl builders. All positions requires making orders and managing stock. We provide job training for all entry-level positions, no matter the experience level.
There will be an eventual opening for Assistant Manager, which is a promoted position. This will come with additional training and an increase in salary.
Taichi Bubble Tea strives for customers to have a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service. All employees must be willing to fully memorize our menu, distribute orders, and answer customers questions. During slower hours, staff are expected to clean and keep their station well stocked. Closing tasks are split between each station. As such, all employees must be able to lift between 10 and 20 pounds without difficulty.
Benefits include free downtown parking (upon 30 hours a week), 50% discount on food/drink, and a competitive wage. Starting rate (wage tips) is guaranteed at $15 an hour, but is capped at $10 for a training period for the first 20-30 hours.

If an employee does not show up when scheduled, they are immediately taken off the schedule until they can meet with the manager. Exceptions are made for emergencies.
