Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in menu planning by preparing components needed for daily specials and standard offerings
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene practices at all times
- Cook a variety of menu items, maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation standards
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with precision and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils
- Serve food promptly and courteously to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are essential
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices is required
