In this hybrid position, you will manage and streamline benefits administration, ensuring staff receive accurate and timely support for their health, retirement, and leave benefits, all while working within a forward-thinking environment that values diversity and community impact.
Compensation
$38.00 - $40.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Oversee precise benefits enrollments within the HRIS system to provide accurate data to vendors.
- Facilitate new-hire orientations and ensure smooth onboarding processes.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on benefits-related information.
- Support employees with benefits claim issues and plan modifications.
- Distribute and verify benefits enrollment materials to determine eligibility.
- Enroll employees with benefit carriers and update life status changes accordingly.
- Address benefits-related inquiries from managers and staff regarding plan details and eligibility.
- Handle all leave-of-absence and disability paperwork, interpreting relevant laws such as FMLA and ADA.
- Respond to 401(k) plan questions, manage contribution adjustments, and coordinate annual catch-up enrollment.
- Assist with open enrollment periods, coordinating communication and logistics.
- Collaborate with departments on Worker’s Compensation updates and related reporting.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in employee benefits programs and relevant legislation.
- Experience implementing benefits systems, preferably with Workday.
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools.
- An Associate’s degree in HR or a related field; extensive experience may substitute formal education.
- A minimum of two years of HR or benefits administration experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, experience working with Union employees, and SHRM-CP or equivalent certification.
