Multi-Property Hospitality Portfolio
Position Overview
A growing hospitality organization is seeking a Corporate Director of Accounting to oversee financial accounting operations across a large multi-property portfolio. This leadership role will be responsible for consolidated financial reporting, portfolio-wide accounting standardization, compliance oversight, systems optimization, and management of corporate accounting teams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hospitality accounting expertise, multi-entity financial leadership experience, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with operations and property-level finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Accounting & Close Process
- Lead and standardize accounting policies, procedures, and chart of accounts across the portfolio
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting
- Oversee fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements across multiple hospitality properties
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, USALI, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain strong internal controls and support audit readiness
- Oversee sales, occupancy, and lodging tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Portfolio & Property Support
- Partner with property-level finance and operations teams to support financial performance
- Review operational and financial reporting across properties and identify process improvements
- Assist with onboarding and integration of newly acquired or managed properties
Strategic Finance & Systems
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management initiatives
- Participate in acquisition due diligence and financial integration efforts
- Lead accounting system implementations, upgrades, and process automation initiatives
- Ensure effective utilization of hospitality accounting and reporting systems
Leadership
- Manage and mentor corporate accounting staff and finance team members
- Develop training programs, establish performance expectations, and support team development
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and process-driven accounting environment
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior hospitality or multi-property accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with hospitality accounting platforms and ERP systems
- Advanced Excel and financial systems skills
Preferred
- Experience supporting branded hospitality environments
- Exposure to portfolio, real estate, or multi-entity accounting structures
- Experience with system implementations, integrations, or process optimization initiatives
- CPA, MBA, or other advanced credentials preferred
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
