Assistant Property Manager
Join our client as an Assistant Property Manager for a family-owned commercial real estate management and development team overseeing mixed-use retail properties. This is a hands-on role that keeps you at the center of tenant communication, property oversight, and month-end momentum—especially during the busiest first and second weeks of each month. If you’re organized, detail-driven, and dependable (and you’ve got a car to get to site visits), you’ll be set up to thrive in a quiet, casual office environment with a team that’s been built for stability and long-term collaboration.
Compensation
$60,000.00 (salary range: $60,000.00–$60,000.00)
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day communication with tenants via phone calls and email
- Conduct regular site visits to supported buildings
- Maintain and work from key property documentation, including rent rolls, lease renewals, and expiration tracking
- Review, update, and support restaurant inspection processes as needed
- Track and manage tenant insurance certificates
- Assist with budget updates and ongoing budget-related reporting
- Support monthly administrative workflows, including running reports, cross-verifying invoices, and confirming tenant payments
- Keep work organized and accurate across busy reporting cycles—especially during the first and second weeks of each month
Requirements
- 2–4 years of commercial/retail property management experience
- Budget experience
- Proficiency working with schedules and property dates, including lease renewals and expiration timelines
- Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets for rent rolls, reporting, and data updates (tenant-facing and internal)
- Ability to read, maintain, and analyze financial/property information in spreadsheet format
- Experience handling tenant-related documentation such as insurance certificates
- Reliable and detail-oriented with a calm, dependable approach—especially when priorities shift
- Must have a car (site visits are a core part of the role)
- Computer skills: MS Office and Excel (basic formulas and data entry required; training provided on company systems)
