Temp-to-Hire Operations & Logistics Coordinator

A growing food distribution company is seeking an Operations & Logistics Coordinator to join its team during an exciting period of expansion. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering long-term growth potential within warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and transportation coordination.

This role offers a unique blend of warehouse operations, inventory coordination, logistics support, routing, and systems-based work. Depending on experience, individuals may focus more heavily on operational systems and inventory management or transportation routing and delivery coordination. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys problem-solving, learns new technology quickly, and takes pride in keeping operations running efficiently behind the scenes. Strong attention to detail, a team-first mentality, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed are critical for success.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting daily warehouse, inventory, and logistics operations
• Processing transactions and maintaining accurate records within ERP and warehouse management systems
• Coordinating inventory tracking, order management, and shipment verification
• Reviewing orders and ensuring accuracy prior to delivery
• Assisting with routing, transportation scheduling, and delivery coordination
• Working closely with warehouse teams, drivers, and third-party logistics partners
• Troubleshooting operational issues and supporting workflow improvements
• Utilizing systems and technology to support efficient warehouse and distribution processes

• Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, shipping & receiving, transportation coordination, dispatch, routing, or supply chain support
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Sage, or similar platforms is highly preferred
• Strong computer skills and comfort learning new systems and technology
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic and commitment to getting the job done
• Degree not required
