2. Position Overview:
As the Pink Hermit Manager at The Hermitage Hotel, you serve as the operational leader overseeing café and dining operations, balancing the intentional casualness of the cafe with the pace and precision of elevated dining.
You are responsible for delivering a seamless, brand aligned guest experience through visible leadership, refined execution, and consistent service standards. You will guide team performance, operational flow, and guest engagement with intention, accountability, and a commitment to excellence.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a polished, highly visible presence throughout service periods, setting the tone for anticipatory and refined service.
- Lead expectations of opening and closing routines, ensuring readiness in atmosphere, cleanliness, product presentation, and team preparedness.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during service, managing flow, guest interactions, and real time adjustments.
- Oversee café operations to ensure speed, accuracy, and warmth while maintaining product integrity and elevated service standards.
- Ensure consistent execution of service rituals, including guest recognition, menu knowledge, and thoughtful upselling.
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism and urgency, ensuring effective and discreet service recovery.
- Supervise, coach, and develop front of house team members, fostering accountability, confidence, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct daily briefings with team members to align priorities, guest insights, and service expectations.
- Maintain team readiness in grooming, product knowledge, and service presence aligned with The Hermitage Hotel Standards.
- Develop and manage schedules, balancing labor efficiency with business needs.
- Adjust staffing and service assignments in real time based on guest flow and operational demands.
- Partner with culinary, F&B, and hotel leadership teams to ensure cohesive execution and communication.
- Support financial performance through labor management, cost awareness, and revenue driving behaviors.
4. Qualifications and Requirements
Required Experience and Certifications
- 3 years of leadership experience in luxury hospitality or elevated restaurant environments, with exposure to both high volume café and fine dining service.
- Experience in a restaurant leadership role with demonstrated ownership of operations, team development, and guest experience.
- Degree or certification in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Food and Beverage Management preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service, including formal service techniques and multi outlet operations.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance metrics, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Certified in Alcohol Service such as TIPS or SERV Safe and basic First Aid, with the ability to meet all compliance requirements.
- Must be 18 or older with full availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
