Location: The Hangout Zone – Kennesaw, GA
Job Type: Part-Time | Flexible Hours | Weekends Required
Reports To: Operations Manager
Compensation: $12-$15 per hour based on experience
About The Hangout Zone
The Hangout Zone is a vibrant, activity-based enrichment center designed exclusively for kids ages 7-14. We combine gaming, media, music, and interactive fun in a safe, creative space that promotes social connection and self-expression. As Zone Leader, you’ll be the point of contact for kids in delivering exceptional experiences.
Position Summary
Zone Leaders supervise specific activity areas within The Hangout Zone, using creativity, energy, and imagination, to create an engaging experience for children. They ensure that children are engaged, equipment is used appropriately, and safety guidelines are followed.
Schedule Requirements
- At least two weekends per month.
- Flexible schedule: 4 – 8-hour shift available
- As programming expands, additional weekday shifts may be added.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children within assigned activity zones
- Explain activities and assist participants with gaming, karaoke, or media equipment
- Ensure equipment is used properly and safely
- Encourage positive social interaction and teamwork among participants
- Monitor behavior and maintain a structured environment
- Assist with check-in/check-out processes when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within activity areas
- Oversee group and party activities to ensure safety of guests and execute a memorable experience
- Communicate concerns or incidents to the Operations Manager or Team Supervisor
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (or currently enrolled students age 16 with parental consent)
- Experience working with children is preferred but not required; candidates should have an energetic personality and a natural ability to engage with children in a fun and positive environment.
- Passion or talent in creative or digital activities such as music, dance, gaming, podcasting, DJing, or short-form video content creation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holiday hours
- Friendly, organized, and professional demeanor
- Ability to maintain a positive and energetic environment
- Resolving any issues that arise at the facility
- Experience handling point-of-sale (POS) transactions is a plus.
