About Our Client:
Our client is one of the fastest growing gov-tech companies and we are now looking for a Head of Sales that will lead all revenue efforts at the state level and work directly with founders. Offices are in Hoboken, NJ --> company has recently doubled in size to 15 employees.
** MUST HAVE EXISTING RELATIONSHIPS WITH STATE LAW ENFORCEMENT, HOMELAND SECURITY, OR ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICES ** FULLY REMOTE ROLE **
Responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle for state-level government clients, including prospecting, qualification, demos, proposals, and closing.
- Develop and execute a sales strategy focused on state police, AG offices, homeland security departments, and counterintelligence agencies.
- Build and leverage relationships with law enforcement decision makers, procurement teams, and agency stakeholders.
- Manage RFP responses and oversee proposal development and pricing within government procurement frameworks.
- Partner with founders to define go-to-market priorities and state-level revenue targets.
- Work with product teams to align platform capabilities with the operational needs of law enforcement and national security buyers.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Negotiate contract terms, compliance requirements, and complex procurement processes.
- Represent the company at law enforcement conferences, government meetings, and industry events.
- Hire, lead, and develop future sales team members as the organization scales.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- 5 years of sales into state or federal government agencies, with a focus on law enforcement, homeland security, or national security.
- Existing relationships with buyers across state police, AG offices, or homeland security departments is required.
- Background in law enforcement, intelligence, or homeland security strongly preferred.
- Experience selling technology or data intelligence solutions into government environments.
- History of meeting sales targets and managing complex government contracting processes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-growing environment and work closely with executive leadership.
Base Salary --> $150,000 to $250,000 commission MEANINGFUL equity.
