Job Title: Bartender

Assistant Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bartender is a
skilled and knowledge beverage professional. This position ensures all guests and members are given a memorable
beverage experience. This position requires the team member to be
friendly, organized, an effective communicator. Knowledge of The Greenbrier history is a plus. Bartenders must have the ability to multi
task. Team member must promote a safe environment for team members, residents
and guests. Team member must ensure all policies and procedures from the Team
Member Handbook and Department Standard Operating Procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Include the following, but other duties may
be assigned.
· Full knowledge of
professional bar service and Mixology.
· Take and full
beverage and food orders effectively and efficiently.
· Uphold safety
practices and maintain cleanliness of the bar/area.
· Ability to convey
intelligent, friendly, informative conversations with guests.
· Knowledgeable of
Greenbrier amenities and social areas.
· Complete stocking of
the bar.
· Prepare fruit and
other garnishments.
· Ensures guests are
attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner.
· Closing Reports and
lock down of bar area.
· Regular
and reliable attendance.
- Maintaining chain
of command through pass down of information, notification and reporting.
- Promote and
maintain sense of positive unified staff moral.
· Attend
scheduled training seminars and department meetings, as required.
· Incorporates
safe work practices in job performance.
· Keeps
immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual
matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or
suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
· Maintains
a favorable working relationship with all other company team members and
purveyors to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will
be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and
effectiveness.
· Performs
all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance
with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the
position.
· Maintains
a professional standard at The Greenbrier to include but not limited to:
appearance, verbal discussions, written correspondence and interactions with
members, team members and guests. Does
not discuss confidential items with fellow team members or work related issues
with members or guests.
· Other
tasks as assigned by the Director of Department, Executive Management Team or
the Company.

QUALIFICATION
STANDARDS:
Education and
Experience:
· Mixology
certificate and training preferred.
· Previous
Bartending/Food and Beverage experience preferred.
· Wine
and TIPS Training preferred.
· Good
communication skills.
· Obtain
West Virginia Food Handler’s Card.
· Professional
demeanor.
· Ability
to function and be flexible in a changing environment.
· Demonstrates
safe work habits.
· Must
be able to read, write and speak English.
· Willingness
to work and be a part of a team is essential.
- Must
have a flexible schedule: weekends, holidays and nights will be required.
Physical
