Essential Job Functions
Position: Bartender
Primary Responsibilities: ( guest interaction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clerical responsibilities, etc.)
- Become fully knowledgeable of professional bar service and mixology
- Take and fill beverage and food orders effectively and efficiently and with use of appropriate selling skills
- Uphold safety practices
- Complete stocking of Bar
- Prepare fruit and other garnishes
- Maintaining cleanliness of bar
- Execute job in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures
- Incorporate 5 Star, 5 Diamond guidelines
- Become knowledgeable of wine and wine presentation
- Ability to convey intelligent, friendly, informative conversation with guest
- Closing reports
- Lockdown of bar

Normal Working Hours: (Shift, days)
- Split shifts ( 11:00AM – 3:00PM; 4:30PM – 10:30PM)
- Weekends and holidays
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria
in addition to the Ten Essential Attributes for All Employees.
Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)
- Two years customer service and F&B service experience required
- Previous bartending and bar service experience strongly preferred
Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification, highest required/preferred, field of study)
- Mixology certificate or training preferred
- Wine training preferred
- TIPS training preferred
Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone, in-person, group; Written: memos, documents)
- Able to convey pleasant, % Star appropriate conversation with guest
- Able to communicate in friendly, positive way with staff
Technical Requirements:
- Able to use Point of Sale system
- Ability to obtain WV Food Handler’s Card
