Position Overview
As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate residents and develop individualized therapy programs designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate residents and develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
Implement therapy programs to improve mobility, strength, and independence.
Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, stretching, and physical therapy equipment.
Educate residents on treatment plans and recovery expectations.
Monitor resident progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants when appropriate.
Maintain accurate documentation of resident care and progress.
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support resident outcomes.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Current New York State Physical Therapist License required.
Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred but not required.
