We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infection Control/Wound RN to join our team at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at River Valley. As a vital member of our healthcare family, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by implementing infection control policies and protocols, monitoring and controlling outbreaks, and providing exceptional wound care services.
Responsibilities:
- Meet nursing operational standards by contributing to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, and resolving problems
- Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
- Maintain nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
- Complete patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff, following up on work results
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
- Provide information to patients and healthcare team by answering questions and requests
- Resolve patient needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulations
- Protect patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols
- Maintain documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records
- Ensure operation of medical and administrative equipment by verifying emergency equipment availability, completing preventive maintenance requirements, and following manufacturer's instructions
- Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem-solving methods
RN Skills and Qualifications:
- Judgment, Supervision, Informing Others, Nursing Skills, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Hospital Environment, Medical Teamwork, Listening, and Pain Management
- CDC Certification required or must be completed shortly after hire
