Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Graveyard Stewarding Supervisor to lead and support the overnight stewarding operation. This position is responsible for supervising the night shift team, ensuring cleanliness and organization of all kitchen and back-of-house areas, maintaining sanitation standards, coordinating overnight cleaning projects, and supporting banquet and culinary operations as needed.
The ideal candidate must have leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the overnight stewarding team
- Ensure all kitchen areas are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards
- Assign daily tasks and follow up on completion
- Coordinate deep cleaning projects during graveyard shift
- Support banquet event setups and breakdowns when needed
- Monitor chemical usage and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, floors, drains, walls, trash rooms, and equipment
- Ensure proper handling and storage of kitchen equipment and supplies
- Complete shift reports and communicate updates to management
- Assist with training new team members
- Ensure all trash and recycling procedures are completed properly
- Respond to operational needs from culinary and F&B departments overnight
- Maintain a safe working environment for all employees
Qualifications
- Previous stewarding or kitchen cleaning experience required
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
