Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate stewarding staff during operational shifts.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards in all kitchen areas.
- Monitor the proper operation of dishwashing machines and stewarding equipment.
- Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to stewarding staff.
- Ensure proper cleaning of kitchen utensils, equipment, floors, and work areas.
- Supervise the proper use and handling of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Support the organization and storage of kitchen equipment, china, glassware, and utensils.
- Collaborate with kitchen, restaurant, and banquet teams to ensure operational support.
- Report maintenance issues related to dish machines or kitchen equipment to the appropriate department.
- Assist in training stewarding staff on sanitation procedures, safety standards, and operational protocols.
- Monitor team performance and report disciplinary concerns when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and accident prevention standards.
Position Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in stewarding, kitchen operations, or related areas.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and cleanliness standards.
- Safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
