Real Estate Paralegal
📍 Newark, NJ (Hybrid/ Onsite)
A well-established law firm in Newark is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong transactional experience handling sophisticated NJ/NY commercial real estate matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing
• Review title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and environmental reports
• Prepare title/survey memoranda, title objection letters, and responses
• Draft and review transactional documents including purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, deeds, transfer tax forms, UCC filings, escrow letters, and closing documents
• Coordinate with attorneys, lenders, title companies, surveyors, and clients throughout the transaction process
• Maintain closing checklists, timelines, and critical dates
• Resolve title and survey issues and assist in obtaining final title policies and endorsements
• Handle multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism
Qualifications:
• 7–10 years of NJ/NY commercial real estate paralegal experience within a law firm environment
• Strong knowledge of title and survey review, title insurance policies, ALTA/CLTA endorsements, and NJ bulk sale applications
• Extensive understanding of commercial real estate transactions and financing processes
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred
