Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity working with children this summer? The Goddard School of Charlestown is seeking energetic, nurturing, and dependable Summer Floaters to join our team. This position will run through the end of August, with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
As a Summer Floater, you will have the opportunity to work with children ranging from 6 weeks to 6 years old, supporting Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms throughout the school.
Compensation
$17.00 - $18.50 per hour
(Based on experience, education, and EEC certification status)
Schedule Options
Part-Time
Monday – Friday
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
This is the only part-time shift available for this position.
Full-Time
Monday – Friday
Candidates must be available to work one of our five scheduled shifts between our operating hours of 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

What You'll Do
- Support classrooms serving children from 6 weeks to 6 years old
- Assist teachers with daily classroom routines and activities
- Engage children in age-appropriate learning experiences and play
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
- Supervise children during classroom, playground, and transition times
- Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and snack routines as appropriate
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
- Provide classroom coverage and support where needed throughout the school
- EEC Certification preferred, but not required
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Positive attitude and willingness to work with all age groups
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable attendance and reliability
- Ability to adapt to different classrooms and age groups throughout the day
- Supportive and collaborative team environment
