The Goddard School of Jenks, OK is looking for a passionate and nurturing Preschool Chef - Floating Assistant Teacher to join our team! In this unique dual role, you'll bring creativity to the kitchen while also supporting young learners in the classroom. Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks for preschool-aged children
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in compliance with health and food safety regulations
- Float between classrooms as an assistant teacher, supporting lead teachers with daily activities and lesson plans
- Supervise and engage children during mealtime, playtime, and structured learning activities
- Foster a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages early childhood development
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration regarding children's needs and progress
- Assist with classroom management, circle time, arts and crafts, and other developmentally appropriate activities
- Previous experience in food service, cooking, or meal preparation — preferably in a childcare or school setting
- Experience working with preschool or early childhood age groups preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and health codes
- Current or ability to obtain a Food Handler's Certification
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced childcare environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework a plus

Salary : $13 - $16
