Position Summary
The Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting quality systems, documentation, and compliance activities across the organization. This role ensures accuracy in product specifications, vendor documentation, and regulatory submissions while maintaining strong adherence to food safety and quality standards.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and is eager to grow within Quality Assurance.
What You Will Do
Serve as backup to the Quality Assurance Manager*
Generate SKUs for raw ingredients, materials, seasonings, and blends
Set up formulas and manage micro requirements within internal systems
Manage new ingredient and vendor approvals and setup
Review and approve co-manufacturer formulas*
Maintain and manage TraceGains (vendor setup, documentation requests, customer connections)
Submit documentation through Food Chain ID, Kosher, and Organic programs
Review, generate, and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs)*
Create and maintain specification packages
Generate lab sample submission forms for ASNs*
Perform final production releases*
Fulfill customer documentation requests
Participate in continuous improvement and departmental projects
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and integrity
Comfortable working cross-functionally with vendors and internal teams
Growth-oriented and eager to develop within the food quality space
Positive, solutions-driven mindset
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 Years Of Experience In The Food Industry
Experience with documentation systems, regulatory submissions, or vendor management preferred
Food Safety, Quality & Compliance
All employees are expected to follow company Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory policies. This role requires adherence to:
GMP, HACCP, Allergen Control, and SSOP standards
Accurate documentation and traceability practices
Audit readiness and recall support activities
Physical Requirements
This role primarily involves office and system-based work with standard physical requirements consistent with a professional environment.
