Job Title: Twin Cities Mobile Market Program Associate
Location: New Hope, MN
Manager: Affordable Groceries Program Supervisor
This is an hourly non-exempt position, 40 hours per week working 4 10-hour days (Mon-Thurs), with a competitive benefits package. The hourly pay range is between $19.23 - $20.19 per hour.
II. Job Summary: |
The Twin Cities Mobile Market (TCMM) Program Associate will assist with the efficient and smooth operations of the Twin Cities Mobile Market program. This includes staffing the Twin Cities Mobile Market sales in the community, handling money, providing excellent customer service, assisting with record keeping. This position will also assist as a backup for the Fare For All program. The TCMM Program Associate is essential in building relationships with community members, eager to spread the word about our programs, and sharing community feedback with teammates. This position will require lifting up to 40 pounds on a daily basis, twisting, standing, and bending while loading, unloading the bus, assisting shoppers, and personal shopping.
III. Core Job Functions: |
- Administration
- Work with Affordable Grocery team to prepare and operate daily programming.
- Handle financial transactions at Twin Cities Mobile Market sites and ensure accurate record keeping at each location we serve.
- Communicate with Supervisor and Community Engagement staff on stories, experiences, feedback, and insights you gather from your time in the community.
- Assist with data entry and record keeping of site payments as needed.
- Answer phones and emails in response to customer calls.
- Help with program outreach materials and customer communication as requested.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Program Implementation
- Attend Twin Cities Mobile Market sites daily; this includes riding in the bus to sites within the twin cities metro area, preparing supplies, greeting and coordinating site volunteers, providing excellent customer service, and ringing up customers.
- Develop trust and relationships with TCMM customers and other key partners.
- Share about program offerings such as Market Bucks.
- Keep notes of customer requests, feedback, and insights.
- Create accurate signage, pricing, and updated flyers on Canva.
- Ensure accurate signage, pricing, and updated flyers are available daily on the bus.
- Assist with outreach fairs and events for specific sites as needed.
- Warehouse Operations
- Assist with daily loading and unloading of TCMM inventory.
- Assist with month end TCMM inventory as needed.
- Assist with restocking TCMM bus and warehouse inventory.
- Maintain TCMM warehouse clean and organized.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.

- Minimum Education and Experience
- High School or GED or 1-2 years of equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties.
- Experience in retail or customer service a plus.
- Experience using a cash register or Point of Sales system is plus.
- Experience working in a community-based nonprofit is preferred.
- Licenses and/or Certifications
- Valid MN driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. Dependable transportation is required.
V. Working Conditions and Environment: |
This position is located in a dog-friendly office setting. The building is accessible and smoke free. The work schedule changes based on Twin Cities Mobile Market stop times. Sites are scheduled Monday through Thursday. Must be able to lift a minimum of up to 40 pounds on a daily basis, this is an essential part of the job when loading and unloading inventory from the bus each day. You must have the ability to utilize various office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, and cash register) on a continual basis.
