Who We're Looking For
The Central Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and maintaining staffing schedules across Nursing and Support Service (Mental Health Specialists) teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant patient care operations. This role serves as the central point of contact for staffing needs, including managing callouts, securing shift coverage, and aligning staffing levels with census and acuity. The Coordinator collaborates closely with nursing and support services leadership to ensure continuity of care and optimal workforce utilization.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and update daily and weekly staffing schedules for nursing and support service departments
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels based on patient census, acuity, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor staffing patterns and proactively adjust schedules to prevent gaps or overstaffing
- Coordinate staffing for multiple units and shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays)
- Serve as the primary contact for staff callouts and schedule changes
- Identify and secure qualified replacements in a timely manner to maintain coverage
- Collaborate with nursing and support services leadership, to ensure staffing alignment with operational needs
- Communicate staffing updates, concerns, and gaps to leadership in real time
- Ensure staffing meets regulatory, accreditation, and internal policy requirements
- Maintain accurate staffing records, schedules, and reports
What You Need

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- High-level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in scheduling systems, Microsoft Excel, and data tracking tools.
