Assistant (Onsite Staffing Coordinator)

Schedule
- The selected candidate will complete training on 1st Shift.
- Once training is complete, the position will transition to supporting the 2nd Shift on a regular basis.
- Candidates must be flexible and available to work both shifts during the training period.
Position Overview
GL Staffing Services is seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant to support our onsite Vendor On-Premise (VOP) operations. This position works directly with the Lead VOP to help manage the day-to-day operations of our temporary workforce while providing outstanding customer service to both employees and our client.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, bilingual (English/Spanish), and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead VOP with daily onsite staffing operations.
- Welcome, onboard, and orient new employees.
- Review company policies and safety procedures with new hires.
- Monitor attendance, track call-offs, and assist with finding replacement employees.
- Perform routine floor walks to check on employees and address questions or concerns.
- Maintain regular communication with client supervisors regarding staffing needs.
- Assist with employee scheduling, assignments, and shift changes.
- Help process timekeeping, attendance, and payroll-related inquiries.
- Maintain employee files and other required documentation.
- Assist with employee coaching, performance concerns, and disciplinary documentation when needed.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure employees follow all client and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both employees and client representatives.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in staffing, recruiting, human resources, customer service, or an administrative role preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
