As a Staffing Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring our nursing departments are appropriately staffed to meet resident care needs while supporting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and adjust nursing staff schedules for a 24/7 skilled nursing operation.
- Coordinate shift coverage for call-offs, PTO requests, vacancies, and census changes.
- Communicate staffing needs with nursing leadership and department managers.
- Track attendance, staffing patterns, overtime, and agency utilization.
- Contact employees to fill open shifts and ensure staffing requirements are met.
- Assist with onboarding, scheduling, and personnel documentation.
- Maintain employee contact information and scheduling records.
- Support payroll processes by verifying staffing and timekeeping information.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the nursing department.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous staffing, scheduling, payroll, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
- Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care experience strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
