What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook/Back of House position at The Firehouse Grill?
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a multi position back of house team member. You will play a vital role in food preparation and handling, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality meals and exceptional service. We are a fast paced, popular restaurant, so you will be trained on multiple positions including dishes, prep, fryer, grill, flat top, and the window.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during meal service
- Assist with catering events as needed
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies
Experience:
- Previous experience in food preparation is preferred, however not a requirement, and willing to train
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Pay rate is a range based on experience, and will be assessed within first 6 months to discuss increases.
