What You’ll Do
As a Vocational Evaluator at Fedcap NYC Inc., you will help individuals identify their strengths, skills, and employment paths. You will conduct assessments and develop employment plans for participants receiving vocational rehabilitation services. Your work will support our broader mission of helping individuals achieve sustainable economic well-being through employment.
Key Responsibilities
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Compensation
$48,000 to $52,000 annually/$23.08 to $25.00 hourly

What You’ll Do
As a Vocational Evaluator at Fedcap NYC Inc., you will help individuals identify their strengths, skills, and employment paths. You will conduct assessments and develop employment plans for participants receiving vocational rehabilitation services. Your work will support our broader mission of helping individuals achieve sustainable economic well-being through employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage caseload to ensure timely delivery of vocational evaluation and employment planning services.
- Interview participants to understand employment, education, and training backgrounds.
- Administer and score assessments to evaluate vocational interests, aptitudes, strengths, and functional limitations.
- Measure and document participant responses to motivational strategies and workplace behavior.
- Develop employment plans that align with assessment results and additional psychosocial and medical data.
- Participate in case conferences with internal service providers as needed.
- Document services and outcomes in FedcapCARES and HRA’s SEAMS system.
- Prepare Individual Vocational Assessment and Plan (IVAP) reports with recommended activities and employment goals.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, vocational education, psychology, or education (or related field).
- Previous experience in vocational evaluation or assessment preferred.
- Strong understanding of testing tools, labor market trends, and vocational systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry into specialized databases.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and ethical work performance.
