Compensation: $25/hr
Responsibilities
- Assist students with professional development activities, including resume writing and job readiness.
- Match students with appropriate externship sites at the completion of their in-class training.
- Ensure students begin externships within required timeframes.
- Track and monitor student attendance and progress at externship sites.
- Communicate student performance to Department Program Head; arrange advising or remedial sessions as needed.
- Collect, verify, and file all required paperwork from students and externship sites.
- Meet with students upon externship completion to provide job placement support and preparation.
- Develop and maintain new externship and job placement sites.
- Conduct at least one on-site visit during a student’s 200-hour externship.
- Contact externship site supervisors weekly to discuss student progress.
- Prepare and submit externship and placement data and reports.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years related practical work experience
