Major Duties
Evaluates validates and prioritizes routing requests. submits carrier shipping instructions and track/trace shipments. evaluates/selects carriers and methods of transport. routes based on cost/on-time goals.
Conducts detailed analysis using internal/external systems making independent decisions directly affecting logistics cost savings.
Utilizes strong communication skills interfacing with vendors, buyers, carriers, companies and internal departments. identifies and reports vendors and carrier non-compliance-enabling exchange to recoup costs.
Analyzes routing procedures identifying inefficiencies and recommends solutions.
Processes and receives time sensitive documentation for customer clearance in accordance with all federal and foreign laws. manages exceptions and develops cost effective plans to minimize shipment disruptions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
