MR PORTER - Bartender

The job

We are looking for an enthusiastic ‘cocktail-loving’ colleague. The ideal candidate for our new MR PORTER STEAKHOUSE is a driven team player and has experience serving cocktails and special drinks. The Bartender ensures all guests are served drinks or food within the bar in a friendly and efficient manner in accordance with company standards. You welcome and greet all guests in a friendly, professional and sincere manner and ensure all guests approaching the Bar counter are acknowledged and served. You prepare cocktails and special drinks and follow up with spot checks to ensure a consistent quality of drinks is guaranteed. You ensure that the Bar area is prepared correctly for service. The Bartender has a complete knowledge of F&B service techniques, all menus, drinks lists and specialties offered in the Bar and served to the correct MR PORTER STEAKHOUSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests

• Serve and prepare all cocktails for the dining room

• Pull all wines necessary for guests

• Manage guests seated/standing in the bar area

• Assist guests with food orders

• Manage drink transfers and all financial transactions at the bar

• Provide a timely greeting to all guests

• Positive attitude and aim to provide great communication skills

Requirements

• Attentiveness and patience for guests

• Aim to deliver excellent presentation skills

• Organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

• Active listening and effective communication skills

• Team spirit

• English needs to be spoken fluently

• Ability to have a flexible schedule and be able to work on nights, weekends, and or holidays
