About the RoleAs the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA), you will oversee all facility operations, including clinical, financial, and administrative functions. You will be responsible for driving census growth, financial performance, staff development, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes in a skilled nursing environment.
This role is ideal for a leader with strong experience in long-term care administration, Medicare/Medicaid operations, survey readiness, and census development.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of a skilled nursing facility, including clinical and administrative departments
Establish and execute facility budgets, financial goals, and operational strategies
Monitor monthly P&L performance, census, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Lead recruitment, hiring, and retention of high-quality nursing and support staff
Provide leadership to department heads including DON, admissions, therapy, and dietary teams
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (CMS, Ohio Department of Health)
Maintain survey readiness and lead the team through state and federal surveys
Implement and maintain policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements
Partner with admissions/marketing to drive census growth, referrals, and community outreach
Monitor and investigate incident reports and quality assurance trends
Conduct regular performance reviews and leadership development for management staff
Active, unencumbered Ohio Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 3 years experience as a Nursing Home Administrator in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)
Proven track record in:
Survey success / regulatory compliance
Census growth and admissions strategy
Budgeting, financial management, and P&L oversight
Staff leadership, retention, and culture building
Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, case mix, and reimbursement systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
