As a Digital Content Producer, you’ll take stories from the field and reimagine them for web, social, video, and streaming, meeting audiences wherever they are. You’ll be at the center of breaking news, shaping how information is delivered in real-time while also building deeper, more engaging digital experiences. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Create and publish original digital stories from breaking news, enterprise reporting, press releases, and tips
Write engaging headlines, alerts, and teases while enhancing content with multimedia elements like maps, slideshows, and embeds
Post and promote content across social media platforms to increase engagement and web traffic
Edit video content and optimize metadata for YouTube, website, app, OTT, and third-party platforms
Build, manage, and monitor livestreams across multiple digital platforms
Design and edit platform-specific social media graphics to support storytelling
Support online coverage of breaking news, major events, and severe weather with urgency and accuracy
Collaborate with editorial and technical teams to deliver content across video, audio, still images, and graphics
Develop special site sections and features to enhance coverage and drive user engagement
Monitor performance metrics and apply SEO best practices to optimize reach and user experience
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in digital media, journalism, or a related field preferred
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed for the role (required)
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Strong writing and editing skills with excellent grammar and attention to detail
Experience with content management systems, video editing tools, and image editing software
Ability to create compelling digital and social-first content, including video and graphics
Knowledge of SEO best practices and audience engagement strategies
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities
Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships across a newsroom
Creativity and adaptability in breaking news and evolving situations
Working knowledge of social media platforms and trends
Photo editing skills, including cropping, enhancing, and optimizing images for digital publishing
Demonstrated experience with video editing for web and social platforms
