What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Coordinator position at The Dolphin Group?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Equipment Coordinator (Machine Build Readiness Coordinator) to support our machine design and assembly operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all materials, components, and documentation are properly received, organized, and prepared for efficient machine builds.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating across teams, and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and organization throughout the build process.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and check in COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) parts and custom machine components
- Monitor, track, and follow up on outstanding parts to ensure timely availability
- Consolidate, organize, and stage components in preparation for assembly
- Obtain, print, and organize required build documentation (e.g., TLAs, schematics, work instructions)
- Serve as a liaison between technicians, the machine shop, and requesters to resolve issues such as missing, delayed, or incorrect parts
- Package, crate, and pallet completed kits for shipment
- Communicate with requesters regarding kit completion and delivery readiness
- Help maintain a structured and efficient materials management process
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams
- Mechanically inclined with a general technical understanding (preferred)
- Basic familiarity with SolidWorks (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to perform occasional physically demanding tasks, including lifting and material handling

Benefits
- Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines.
