An established and growing technical solutions organization is seeking a Director of Engineering & Solutions to lead and scale a multidisciplinary team responsible for engineering excellence, technical services, custom solutions, fabrication, and customer-focused innovation.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex customer challenges, developing high-performing teams, and partnering closely with Sales and Operations to drive business growth.
What You'll Do
✅ Lead and execute the strategy for a broad Engineering & Solutions organization
✅ Build and develop high-performing teams across:
- Application Engineering
- Field Engineering
- Technical Services
- Technical Training
- Fabrication & Assembly
- Custom Solutions Production
✅ Partner with Sales leadership to support strategic accounts, engineered solutions, and revenue growth initiatives
✅ Drive operational excellence through scalable processes, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
✅ Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customers facing complex engineering and process challenges
✅ Develop organizational capability through leadership development, succession planning, and talent growth
✅ Champion innovation while balancing standardization, quality, customer requirements, and business objectives
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field)
- 10 years of progressive engineering leadership experience
- Proven success leading multidisciplinary engineering and technical service organizations
- Strong customer-facing experience in Application Engineering, Field Engineering, Sales Engineering, or related functions
- Demonstrated ability to partner with Sales and Operations to drive growth and profitability
- Experience managing budgets, organizational performance, and strategic investments
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills
- Strong leadership presence with a track record of building and developing teams
Preferred Background
Experience within one or more of the following industries:
- Fluid Handling
- Process Equipment
- Life Sciences
- Semiconductor Manufacturing
- Industrial Automation
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Engineered Products
- OEM or Technical Distribution
MBA or advanced engineering degree is a plus.
