Digital Content Coordinator

The Creative Agency
Fort Collins, CO Full Time
POSTED ON 7/16/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/13/2026

Location: In-person, in-office

Compensation: $43,000-$53,000 tiered revenue share tied to social client growth, retention, profitability, and campaign performance

Experience: 3 years, agency experience preferred

The Creative Agency is seeking a Digital Content Manager to lead the planning, strategy, styling, execution, and performance of social media and email marketing across client accounts.

This role is for someone who understands how digital content moves a brand forward. The right person is highly engaged with social media, email marketing, platform trends, audience behavior, brand voice, visual direction, and the way content earns attention online.

This person should be able to manage client accounts with ownership, including campaign planning, content calendars, captions, scheduling, email direction, creative briefs, trend research, performance tracking, and coordination with design, photography, and video teams.

This is not an entry-level posting role. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, write clearly, direct creative work, recognize what feels current, understand what makes content perform, and connect social and email efforts back to client growth.

About the Role:

The Digital Content Manager is responsible for the planning, strategy, styling, execution, and growth of assigned social media and email marketing accounts.

This includes determining what each account needs, what the campaign should say, how it should look, where it should show up, when it should be published, how email should support the message, and how performance should be evaluated.

The role requires strong awareness of trends and style, but also the judgment to know what actually fits a client’s brand. We are not looking for someone who chases every trend. We are looking for someone who can identify which trends, formats, hooks, and creative approaches have strategic value and translate them into polished, brand-appropriate content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, strategy, styling, and growth of assigned social media and email marketing accounts.
  • Develop campaign direction for client launches, promotions, events, brand awareness, engagement, retention, and sales initiatives.
  • Define the objective, audience, content angle, visual direction, platform strategy, messaging, and call to action for each campaign.
  • Build connected social media and email marketing plans that help move audiences from awareness to engagement, traffic, trust, and action.
  • Plan and manage social media calendars, email calendars, campaign timelines, posting schedules, content priorities, and key messaging.
  • Write and/or oversee captions, hooks, subject lines, preview text, email copy, calls to action, campaign flow, and audience-facing messaging.
  • Set a clear creative vision for the design, photography, and video teams so content is visually aligned, brand-appropriate, current, and built for the platform where it will appear.
  • Coordinate with designers, photographers, videographers, and junior team members to ensure campaign execution is polished, timely, strategic, and aligned with client goals.
  • Stay current on platform trends, content formats, audience behavior, visual styles, creator formats, campaign strategies, and email marketing best practices.
  • Evaluate which trends, formats, and campaign ideas are appropriate for each client based on brand voice, audience, industry, goals, and reputation.
  • Review social posts, captions, graphics, videos, content calendars, email drafts, and campaign concepts before they move forward.
  • Monitor social and email performance, including engagement, reach, traffic, list growth, open rates, click rates, unsubscribes, conversions, retention indicators, and other relevant client goals.
  • Use performance data to identify what is working, what is underperforming, what needs to change, and where new opportunities exist.
  • Prepare clear insights and recommendations for internal teams, client reporting, audits, proposals, case studies, and client growth opportunities.

Required Experience

  • 3 years of experience in social media management, email marketing, content strategy, campaign planning, digital marketing, brand marketing, or agency work.
  • Experience managing social media and/or email marketing for brands, businesses, or client accounts.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, short-form video, social storytelling, email marketing, and campaign strategy.
  • Strong awareness of platform trends, content formats, visual styles, audience behavior, brand voice, and what makes digital content feel current.
  • Experience planning and managing social media calendars, email calendars, campaigns, promotions, launches, newsletters, nurture sequences, or event/product campaigns.
  • Strong writing, editing, captioning, subject line, hook development, and campaign messaging skills.
  • Ability to create campaign direction, not just execute assigned tasks.
  • Experience working with designers, photographers, videographers, or creative production teams.
  • Ability to review creative work and give clear feedback that improves quality, strategy, style, and execution.
  • Experience reviewing social and email analytics and translating performance data into practical recommendations.
  • Strong creative judgment and the ability to identify what feels current, elevated, brand-appropriate, and strategically useful.
  • Comfort managing multiple clients, timelines, campaigns, platforms, and priorities at once.
  • Agency experience preferred.

You are likely a strong fit if you:

  • Have real experience managing social media and/or email marketing for brands, businesses, or client accounts.
  • Understand how social media and email work together to build awareness, trust, traffic, leads, sales, and retention.
  • Pay attention to platform trends, visual styles, content formats, audience behavior, brand voice, campaign timing, and creative direction.
  • Can look at a client’s brand, audience, goals, and current content and identify what needs to improve.
  • Know how to write captions, hooks, subject lines, calls to action, and campaign messaging that feel intentional and brand-aligned.
  • Can set a clear vision for designers, photographers, videographers, and junior team members.
  • Care about visual quality, writing quality, strategic clarity, and performance.
  • Bring ideas forward instead of waiting to be handed every concept.
  • Are organized enough to manage calendars, campaigns, deadlines, approvals, and multiple client priorities.
  • Are comfortable with direct feedback, fast-moving work, and high standards.
