The Creative Agency is growing, and our production department is looking for a Commercial Visual Producer to help us meet increasing client demand and continue raising the quality, consistency and volume of the work we produce.
This is a mid-level production role. We are looking for someone with a strong professional foundation who can independently produce commercial video, confidently capture supporting photography, and own post-production from raw files through final delivery.
Our team creates visual content for product launches, advertising campaigns, social media, websites, events, hospitality, beauty, lifestyle, professional services and consumer brands.
Video will make up the majority of this role, but photography is an important part of the job. You need to understand composition, exposure, lenses, lighting and how to produce polished still imagery when a production requires both photo and video assets.
This is not a traditional filmmaking position. We value strong storytelling and cinematic instincts, but our work ultimately exists to create assets that help clients market products, services and experiences.
We are looking for a commercial producer first: someone who is technically strong, understands brands and marketing, and knows how to make products, people, services and experiences look compelling. Put simply, we need someone who can make commercial work feel cinematic without turning every project into a film set.
About The Role
This is a hands-on production and post-production position.
You will work across the full production lifecycle, including concept development, pre-production, shoot planning, video capture, photography, lighting, audio, directing talent, editing, color, photo retouching, revisions, versioning and final delivery.
Post-production is a significant responsibility of this role. You will be responsible for editing the video content you produce as well as editing and preparing photography for client delivery. This is not a position where footage or photographs are routinely handed to another editor after the shoot.
The balance changes from week to week. Some weeks may include several productions. Others may be spent primarily in post-production completing edits, retouching photography, managing revisions, creating multiple versions and preparing assets for different platforms.
The right person must be comfortable owning the entire process.
What your day to day looks like:
- Capture professional commercial video for products, people, services, events and environments
- Capture polished still photography when productions require both photo and video assets
- Operate professional cameras, lenses, lighting, stabilization, grip and audio equipment
- Understand when video and photography require different lighting, composition and capture approaches
- Create intentional lighting for products, interviews, portraits and environments
- Maintain accurate focus, exposure, framing, color, composition and sound
- Photograph products, people and environments with enough technical control to create client-ready commercial assets
- Direct clients, employees, actors, models and people who may not be comfortable on camera
- Capture sufficient video and photography to support multiple campaign needs, edits, crops and platforms
- Edit short-form social content, advertising, interviews, brand films, product content and website video
- Complete professional color correction and grading
- Complete photo selection, color correction, retouching, cleanup and final preparation
- Maintain accurate product and brand color across both photo and video
- Retouch distracting elements, reflections, imperfections and other issues when appropriate
- Select and work with appropriately licensed music
- Edit and clean dialogue, music and supporting audio
- Create strong pacing, transitions, captions, titles and supporting graphics
- Produce vertical, horizontal, short-form and longer-form versions
- Prepare photography for web, social, advertising and other required uses
- Apply revision notes accurately and efficiently
- Organize raw footage, photography, project files, selects, exports and archives
- Perform detailed quality-control reviews before anything is submitted internally or delivered to a client
- Deliver completed assets by established deadlines
What we're looking for:
- You are primarily a commercial video producer, but you are comfortable moving between motion and still photography.
- You understand cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, editing, color and delivery formats. You can photograph a person, product or environment competently when the assignment calls for still assets, and you understand that the standard for client work is considerably higher than simply getting a technically usable image.
- You also understand that capture is only half of production. You enjoy shaping raw material into finished creative and take pride in editing, color, retouching, organization and final QA.
- You know how to make a product feel desirable, a person feel credible, an environment feel inviting and a brand feel polished and memorable.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional video production and editing experience
- A portfolio that includes commercial, branded, product, advertising or social media work
- Demonstrated still-photography capability
- Strong knowledge of professional cameras, lenses, lighting, audio and production equipment
- Experience filming and photographing products, people and environments
- Strong professional experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Working proficiency with Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop
- Strong editing, color, pacing and finishing skills
- Ability to perform professional photo selection, correction, cleanup and retouching
- Experience creating vertical and horizontal content
- Strong organizational and file-management habits
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team
- Ability to receive and accurately apply direct creative feedback
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work in person in Fort Collins and travel as needed
- Authorization to work in the United States

- Paid time off
- Performance-based bonus opportunities
